Drivin' Miss Avery

Last evening, Avery & her parents (Brian & Alisha Owens) came for a little visit. After playing on the swing set & riding bikes, the girls decided it was time to drive the Jeep. Alisha & myself had a good laugh at them. The were soo cute! Ellie doesn't drive it very often, so she at times is a little unsure of herself and the power of the Jeep. I am glad to report that no speeding tickets, wreaks or hit & runs were reported! Though, at times, I threatened to suspend her license. Avery didn't seem to mind--she just wanted to GO!

School Days...

Ellie had her 1st day of Mom's Day Out (Preschool) today. She was so excited about going this morning that she wanted to go straight there before it opened. I was very proud of her (and myself) as no tears were shed & she was surprised with balloons waiting for her in the car when she was picked up. The highlight of her day was playing outside on the playground. Let's hope the excitement for school continues!

When Mom is gone...

When Mom is gone, the "kids" (aka Jamie & Ellie) decide to have fun! Last night's activity was the clothes pile jump. Ellie jumps off her small trampoline & lands in the pile of laundry that needs to be folded. As you can see by the picture, she has perfect form!

Recently Jamie & I took a long weekend for a "mini" family get away to the place at The Lake. The weather was wonderful! Ellie enjoyed crusin' on the golf cart, seeing the bison, and riding on Peepaw's boat. But the highlight had to be Ellie catching her 1st fish all by herself! From casting to reeling it in - I don't know which one was more excited - Ellie or Jamie, who has him a new fishing buddy!
