Ellie's Field Trip
Today, I took the day off to enjoy Ellie's 1st official field trip! Even though it was messy and rainy, we both enjoyed spending time with her new MDO friends and getting to know some of the parents. The adventure began with a visit to the Obion County Library, which is a wonderful place. It is a newer building that has something for everyone. They have a WONDERFUL children's section, filled with a variety of books, puppets, computers with kid appropriate learning games, and even a castle~which Ellie loves! I wish she could have one in the backyard! While we waited on the rest of her group to get there, we became official members and opened up a library card for her & myself. Ellie walked away with 3 new books to read. Next, it was on to Wee Play which is an indoor inflatable play zone with bouncey houses, huge slides, an obstacle course and more. We just had Ellie's 4th birthday party here a couple of weeks ago, so she was super excited about going back to visit. After jumping around and having fun, we had lunch at McDonald's. And what kid doesn't like McDonald's! She had such a great time & is now taking a much needed nap!

Ellie & the hairbows
Happy Birthday Ellie!

This past weekend, we celebrated Ellie's 4th Birthday! It was a long day. That morning, we held a party at Wee Play which is an indoor inflatable play zone. I even joined in on the fun & am paying the price because I am really sore. In the evening, we held a family party at the New Salem Fellowship hall. Ellie chose to have a Strawberry Shortcake theme. After it was over with, the whole family crashed from birthday overload!

Davy Days - Rutherford, TN

Each October, the town of Rutherford hosts a variety of activities to celebrate being the last home of Davy Crockett. One of the finales of the celebration is the Davy Crockett parade, which is full of police cars, firetrucks, floats, bands, and of course CANDY! Macy Ruth Chandler & Ellie Grace found a comfy spot to sit in Granddaddy's lap ( Alvin Harrell, Jamie's grandfather). Also here is Ellie Grace with Jaxon Hays ( our nephew, son of Paige Hays & Tripp's big brother). The kids came out like bandits with the candy!
Welcome Tripp

October promises to be a very busy month for the Carson Clan! It is full of fall festivities, birthdays, anniversaries, and of course Trick or Treating! This October, we added another birthday as our new nephew - Tripp Michael Hays - made his appearance on Friday, Oct. 9th. This would be the new son of my favorite (not to mention my only) sister. The Hays Family is doing great!
