It has seemed that I have been bound to I-40 as of recent to & from Nashville. A couple of weeks ago I had to spend a few days on business, then the very next week I spent one day touring the State Capital (with the Gibson Co Chamber Adult Leadership Program) and another evening at ...
AND....
BLAKE SHELTON!!!
Jamie & I really enjoy it for a few reasons. Besides the tickets being reasonably priced compared to full concerts, The Opry offers country music fans a more laid back feeling - no matter where your seats are, you can walk right up to the stage to take a photo (they came in herds for Carrie). Also, they offer a little variety - a little old, bluegrass, and the new country stars. We both have an appreciation for true talented musicians, especially Jamie, who was born w/ a musical ear & has taught himself to play guitar. I usually recommend a trip there at least once - why not, people come from all over? In fact, this past weekend I sat next to a couple who was from Germany!
